Welcome to the first post of Chris and DeAnn Hertzog. We are new to this whole blogging thing so please have patience with us as we work out the design, content, etc of our blog.
We chose “Walking the Line” as the name of our blog not only because all 5 of us are Johnny Cash fans, but also because it describes our life. Every day we walk the line between traditional and contemporary, American and European, European and Middle Eastern, European and African, European and Asian, religious and secular, pastor and footballer.

Its about time
Great to have you here!
You guys are looking great! Trust you are sensing an impact already as you launch your new work. We are praying for you and excited about all that is ahead for you!
Ron
Good job! I look forward to future updates.
Blessings,
Ann
Looks like you have a great start, and the work you do is very interesting, and I know very rewarding.
Congratulations on being “Cash” fans, I liked him as well.
God bless You ALL.
Eileen
AWESOME!!! We are glad to here from you and excited about the semi-instant communication. We wil continue to pray as you continue to walk. Stay blessed and we will blog again soon!!
Thanks for your comments. We are excited about being able to have “conversations” with you all altogether. We are encouraged by hearing from you.
What a great idea. I look forward to reading more about Cyprus and your unique ministry opportunities. As you are walking the line everyday, remember you are being supported in prayer. Keep going and don’t look back. Becky
Alright! What a great way to communicate what’s happening.
His Joyful Blessings
I’ve never done this “blogging stuff” so this is a first! We’ll keep lifting you up in prayer as you “walk the line” and look forward to hearing all the exciting opportunities the Lord brings you.
I am so glad to have a place to come and read what is going on with you and your family. I look forward to reading what is going on in your lives. Much love from my boys and me.
Hello, Hertzogs!
Been thinking a lot about you and wondering how your adjustment is going. Loved the pictures you sent in your email! So glad we got “re-acquainted” right before you left–now we feel like a part of your team. Keep sending pictures and prayer requests!
Praying for you faithfully,
Leah (and family)

Greeting & Salutations C&D, what a fabulous way to keep in touch! Thanks for the updates. I see you’re walking the line between ‘Tekkie & Non-Tekkie’, too. Looks like fun. You’ve got your hands full and your work cut out for you. God has provided you some exciting work and opportunities. We’ll continue to pray for your focus and strength.
Take care,
Jeff & Roya Sterner, & Fam.
Jeff,
We live on the “Tekkie, Non-Tekkie” line…we are just happy to have internet at this point!
Thanks for the prayer.
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus, The Christ,
We are so excited to discuss more about Cyprus and your ministry opportunities. I have never really done a “blog” before so I guess we will learn it all together.
As I was reading in John 17:18-19 it says’, “As You sent Me into the world; I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth”.
Jesus says He was sent from God to us so we could return to God as his beloved children (adoption). He now sends His disciples (this includes you & I) into the world to make a difference in the lives of those we meet.
Jesus gives Himself totally and completely to the Father so that our future, our lives and mission should belong to the Father as well. Our “job assignment” must be God-lead, God-motivated, and God-willed. Since we know that is true then we are His and our mission is His. Because all who follow Jesus, all who call Him Lord, belong to God! We are so grateful that you and DeAnn are truly fulfilling His destiny for you and your household.
We love you, and pray for His divine protection and support continually.
Art, Romajean & family
