Snow in Nicosia!!!!

That’s right.  Last night it snowed in Nicosia.  Yes, it was very wet and no, it didn’t stick, but it was still fun.  Our family has seen lots of snow, but the guys we had over haven’t.  It just doesn’t snow much in their part of Africa.  It was really great to experience the snow with them.  We were watching “I am Legend”  when Daniel noticed that it was snowing.  We paused the movie and all ran outside.

As far as “I am Legend” is concerned, it was nothing like I expected.  To be honest, I really didn’t know what it was about, so I was very surprised.  And maybe the 15 minute break in the middle to enjoy the snow disturbed the continuity and momentum of the movie.  I don’t think I’ll watch it again to find out.  This was Chris’ second time to watch and he said it is pretty interesting.  Have you seen it? What do you think?

yeah, I think your time could be better spent watching something else. I would recommend “Juno.” It is a really great movie.

I saw it over Christmas in the theatre with the future in-law sister and brothers. The guys cringed and the girls had their eyes covered almost the entire time. Very scary.

Matthew made an interesting observation though, that if it hadn’t have been for the fact that he was alone it wouldn’t have been half as scary.

So yeah, interesting movie…but don’t know if I’d really watch it again. Definitely want to see Juno though. Our last two attempts have been thwarted by people falling down stairs and breaking their feet.

Yes, it was much more of a horror movie than I had anticipated. If I had known that I probably wouldn’t have wanted to see it. I’m not a big fan of horror movies. I hope you get a chance to see Juno. It is very nice. -DeAnn

Great analogy to salvation and redemption though, can one person save the world on their own? There are a lot of issues brought up through out about God, our desire to save ourselves, the need for sacrifice. And it resurrected my listening to Marley! Don’t worry about a thing, cuz every little thing gonna be alright.

Oh, I totally agree with Juno. I really appreciated that movie. Josh and I launched a long conversation after seeing that one. I have to say that I would like to own it.
It’s snowing here too, but that is obviously no big surprise!
    Thinking of you all often,
    Sarah
